Perdigones are nymphs of Spanish origin whose varnished body and tungsten bead allow quick immersion, which gives them great effectiveness with a extended fishing action.

To tie your perdigones, simply cut thin strips from the film, 2mm wide seems a good width, and wrap this strip around a sub-body, the colour of which, dark or light, will also have an impact on the final result. If you wish, you can add a ribbing with a thin copper wire around the body.

To finish off your fly, apply a coat of UV resin or varnish to protect your rig over time, improve penetration into the water and activate the colours, colour changes and reflections.

Foils and results:

01 Light blue: your perdigone will be very light blue or less light depending of the underboby silk color.

02 Lila, Light blue with varying shades of purple.

03 Peacock Green, Green perdigone with slight variations linked to the underbody.

04 Watermelon, you will obtain the famous Vitamina according to the angles of exposure of the fly and the underbody, your Perdigone will be pink-orange with blue reflections according to the angles of sight.

05 Pink, with this colour you will form a ‘Gazoline’ Perdigone with pink reflections (Gazoline = metallic Peacock Green with numerous reflections).

06 Forest Fire, the result is a ‘Gazoline’ with more coppery highlights.
